How are your pictures printed?
All photo orders are custom cropped and adjusted for optimum contrast and color balance. Images are printed on a professional grade photo printer on ultra premium photographic paper. Photos are printed with a glossy finish. The purchased prints are intended for non-commercial display. The images are copyrighted and can not be legally copied or duplicated without proper authorization from Horsepower Photography.
How can I pay? What methods of payment do you accept?
All photo orders must be paid in full before delivery. Payment methods accepted are cash, cheque, Interac E-Transfer, credit card via Paypal, or credit card over the phone. Any NSF cheques will incur an additional $50 NSF fee.
How do I receive my photos? How long does it take?
Photo prints are typically shipped within one (1) business day of receipt of payment. Mail orders are shipped via Canada Post. You will be contacted via E-mail once your order has been shipped. If you have a rush order, call us during normal business hours to discuss your needs. We will always do our best to fill your request.
Digital picture files are available for download immediately after receipt of payment. Download links will be provided after the checkout process (Paypal or Credit Card) or E-mailed once the payment is processed (E-transfer, cash, cheque).
There is a shipping charge of $2.00 per order applied at time of checkout. There is no shipping charge for downloaded files.
I am not satisfied with my pictures. What do I do?
On photograph orders, each order is custom-printed, therefore we cannot offer refunds on filled orders. We do, however, want you to be completely satisfied with your order. If you have a complaint about your order, call or E-mail us, and we will work with you to come to a satisfactory solution.
On digital file orders, note that photos on the site are un-edited. If you purchase a digital file of your picture, and the photo requires touch up (framing, color, contrast, etc), you will receive an edited copy of your photo in a separate email shortly after ordering.
Can I use my photo or digital picture file wherever/however I want?
All images on this website are copyrighted. Much like a patent, copyrights protect the photographer from unauthorized use. Purchasing a photo print from this website does not grant unlimited use of the image. Photo prints purchased from this website are intended for personal, non-commercial display and cannot be reproduced in any form without incurring additional fees. Is it OK if I post a proof to my Facebook/Instagram/Social Media?
No. Not without previous permission. Proof images that are available on this website are provided so that customers may see an accurate representation of the photos that were taken at a particular event. They are meant only to be an aid to making a decision to purchase the print/file. Any re-posting of a proof to anywhere other than this website, without previous permission of Horsepower Photography, is theft, and will be treated as such.
How do I receive my digital picture?
Personal digital files come in resolution of 1920x1280px at 72dpi. Personal digital files are for personal use only and are not permitted to be republished without further consent from Horsepower Photography. Files are delivered via secure download link upon payment of order. This will be the un-edited digital file. If any color or contrast corrections are needed on the file, you will receive a follow up E-mail with the edited file shortly thereafter.
I need to re-download my digital picture(s) / My download link has expired.
Please contact us with the photo image number and we will re-issue the download link(s) to you. Please remember that all download links are only valid for 1 week after issue.
